Safeguarding your home and possessions

We all have our valued possessions, along with many more we take for granted. While some are irreplaceable, there are a surprising number we would need to replace, should the worst happen. From kitchen appliances to the kitchen sink and house itself, it all adds up.

What if a major catastrophe – like fire, lightning, storm damage or falling trees – hit your home? How would you afford to replace the clothes, furniture, books and other items lost in a fire? What would be the real cost of rebuilding or repairing your home to the quality and size it is now?

And what of those essentials of daily life we take out and about – music players, mobile phones, digital cameras and sunglasses? Small, portable, easy to lose, and appealing to thieves. Costly to replace and frustrating to do without.

Home Cover is CMCU’s building, contents and valuables insurance solution that can protect any or all of these scenarios.

Strata Home Contents cover is specifically designed for owners and occupiers of strata properties and works hand in hand with strata title insurance organised by the body corporate. It's designed to protect the belongings and fixtures inside your strata.

Home Cover and Strata Home Contents both provide peace of mind that, if, through specific events, your property is damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen, it can be repaired or replaced. And it will usually be on a “new-for-old” basis, regardless of the item’s age.
